Get More Flexible without Another Workout
Personalized, 1:1 Assisted Stretching at Dirty Water Fitness
Want to feel less stiff, but never seem to get around to stretching?
You know stretching will make you feel good. But knowing which stretches to do, how to do them, and how long to hold them makes it easy to put it off.
With assisted stretching, you don’t even have to think about it!
During a 1:1 session, you relax on the table while I guide your body through a personalized series of stretches. I control the position and adjust the intensity based on your feedback. That way, you can work on your flexibility without another routine to remember.
You do the training. Let me handle the stretching.
Stretching for YOUR Body
Your stretching session is customized around how your body moves, where you feel stiff, what you do in the gym, and what you want to improve.
Sessions are led by me, Jake Kleis, an ACE Certified Personal Trainer with a B.S. in Kinesiology from UMass Amherst and a NASM Stretching and Flexibility Coach certification.
This idea was born out of my own experience with strength training. Lifting in the gym made me strong, but I was also stiff and dealing with chronic back pain. Today, I prioritize flexibility and joint health as well as strength so my clients can train hard while keeping their bodies feeling good.
Your first stretch is 50% off.
What happens during assisted stretching?
Assisted stretching is the part of your fitness routine where someone else does most of the work. During assisted stretching:
You remain fully clothed
I guide you into each stretch
You tell me what you’re feeling
I adjust the position and intensity accordingly
“Why not just get a massage?”
Great question! Unlike a massage, where the focus is primarily on the muscles, assisted stretching moves your joints through progressively deeper ranges of motion.
So we’re not just trying to help you feel good or relieve stress while you’re on the table — although it usually does help with that! With assisted stretching, we’re working on the flexibility you can use when you squat, lift, run, play sports, and move through everyday life.
To me, the best part is that you don’t have to do much of anything. There’s no need to undress, and you don’t need to get your body covered in oil. You can remain fully clothed, and when it’s over, continue on with your day.

When you stretch on your own, you have to choose the stretches, get yourself into position, decide how far to go, and the hardest part — remember to actually do it. With assisted stretching, I handle all of that for you so you get the best results with zero effort.
-
Massage primarily works directly on your muscles and other soft tissues. Assisted stretching focuses on guiding your joints through different ranges of motion. You also stay fully clothed throughout your session, with no oils or lotions involved.
-
Pain is not the goal! I’ll check in with you throughout the session and adjust the position and intensity based on what you’re feeling.

No. Your stretching is customized around your body and goals rather than following the same routine for every person.

Assisted stretching has been shown to improve flexibility and range of motion. It can help you move more freely, release tightness, improve posture, support circulation, and reduce stress.
